Does anyone have any knowedge if the above named blank works well for overhead beach casting? I'm thinking of building a 7wt for light surfcasting for school stripers, blues, weaks and fluke here in NJ and it should work well for the snook, reds and other smallist stuff I run into when I'm down in SW FL.
I'm not sure about 'flex', grain weights and all that stuff, but its been my experience that the switch rods I've casted OH have casted well when uplined with a Outbound line by 2 weights; ex: a 7 wt w/ a 9 wt outbound... Thanks in advance. I am alittle confused by your question. You talk about overhead casting then mention fly lines. Are you talking about using fly lines to cast something other than a fly? Re: Batson 10' 8" switch for 2 handed overhead casting?
