Loomis IMX Blanks

Hi, all: I am a long time lurker, sometimes rodbuilder, avid fly fisher and hooked on Rodmaker Mag. Enough with the credentials, I have a question. I want to build a 9 foot 5wt. as my winter project,(not that I really need anouther trout rod) and I am intrigued by the Loomis IMX blanks. I know that Loomis brought them back after discontinuing the IMX line, and I wonder if the blank has the identical action as the old IMX's. Alternatively, I was thinking about the St. Croix SC IV which I've heard so many good thinds about. Any opinions would be appreciated, Thanks.

Jack
I too would be interested in hearing from anyone that has had an opportunity to compare the three piece "Slate" IMX blanks with the earlier two piece IMX models. I have put together a 9', 6# on the new blank but don't have access to a earlier 6# for comparison purposes. My all time favorite IMX is a 9', 3# but unfortunately they don't provide this blank in the "Slate" lineup.
