Does anybody know of a good book for building a fly rod that would assist a beginner like myself?

Our fearless leader, Tom Kirkman, wrote a book called Rod Building Guide: Fly, Spinning, Casting, Trolling. It's the best rodbuilding primer out there. Though it's not written specifically for fly rods, it's got everything in it you'll need.

I am sure one of the sponsors carries what you need. Call Todd Vivian at Mud Hole. He is a fly rod maniac

R. L Garcia wrote one specifically about fly rods, as did Skip Morris; both books are well respected in the fly rod building world.
