Blank Extension

Can anyone reccomend a material and source for rod blank extensions? I think aluminum tubing or some sort of carbon fiber or fiber glass tube would work well but I am not sure where to find them in the right sizes. If there is another material that works well for you please let me know.
Thanks.

A scrap section of rod blank may be your best bet, although it's not always easy to find in just the right size.

If you have a Fastenal company store in your area, they offer a huge selection of tubing in a wide variety of sizes. Aluminum works well but depending on the application it can be a little on the heavy side.

Paul,
Go to good will and pick up a dozen old rods from the can. You can typically get these for a few cents each. Chop them as needed for blank extensions.
Take care
Roger
