Help with Fuji nut

I am interested in finding the Fuji nut in the center of this photo: [www.rodbuilding.org]

The text says it is a Fuji HPg16n nut. Is that the correct #? A search reveals nothing.

Thanks!

That's a "quick-lock" assembly. You can get the entire assembly with eva or cork or
just get the inside piece and insert it into your custom piece.

Chuck,
When I found these nuts - the HPG16N, they were on a clearance rack at a dealer. This particular style nut is one of the older nuts used on the front of the Fuji locking seats.

I have checked several sources since, and have found some similar nuts that will work if you clean them up. Essentially, most of the manufacturers use the same size thread and pitch for the reel seats. So, you many be able to find a locking nut that is currently available from a different manufacturer.

Bingham from the list on the left:
carries the HPS16N - which is a hoodless nut and may work for you. It is not the same as the nut in the picture, but similar:

I pulled down the 2009 Fuji catalog: from the US distributor:

It appears that the only similar nut that is currently available from Fuji is the :

KDPS16.

However, you can do some searches of old stock from distributors and may be able to come up with the needed nut.

The KDPS nut is the closest thing there. The hoods are, with a little bit of care, interchangeable, so if you cannot get the KDPS in gold, then you can swap with a similar size reel seat. Failing that, the KDPS in 16,17,18, and 20 can be obtained from Japan.
