Hello all. I wanted to know if it is safe to put CP over new Finish? When I say new I am talking about 24 hours of cure time.
Thank you John Re: CP over New Finish?

Not sure what the purpose of that would be, but yes you can do it because epoxy doesn't need air to cure.

I've started playing with doing this, since I get fisheyes/bubbles in my Dec Wraps which I slice off with a razor, adn "seal with a dot of CP. I do not know how it will hold up once exposed to teh sun and actually fished, but it does prevent teh epoxy from bubbling up in this spot on subsequent coats. Re: CP over New Finish?

Last night I was finishing a rod, everything looked great. I went to check on it and the Decal came up on the edges, so I tore it off before the epoxy dried, leveled it out and now I want to reapply the decal. I was going to put some CP on the decal this time so it seals it from the epoxy getting under it.. Hope this make sense?

I dunno, that happens to me with decals all teh time, I just put another coat over teh decal once the first one dries and that's usually the end of the problem for me. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
