BLAG guide frames

I am curious what the Blag frames are constructed from since they do not appear to be magnetic like the BLG frames.

I just checked one and you are 100% correct that is not magnetic.

According to Fuji, it is S4 Stainless Steel. Since it isn't magnetic, I believe that would make it 300 series stainless ... but I have no idea what particular class. Maybe Bill "Metallugist on Staff" Stevens will chime in and solve the mystery.

Chances are it's 304 SS. All the lower 300 series, up to 310, have a small percent of Carbon , Minimum of .030 with a maximum of .090 percent. That small amount of Carbon probably can't be detected with common magnet. The "L" series, meaning Low Carbon, have a maximum of .030 percent. After 310 series they add Molybdenum. I doubt any of the guide frames contain any Molybdenum.
