I normally use High Build Flex Coat finish but I mistakenly ordered Low Build Flex Coat finish and after a coat on the guides and the inlays have just about sold me on it.
What say you? Re: High Build Vs Low Build Finish

I've never used high build so can't comment on it but. When I started building rods I was introduced to the low build and have never had any reason to change.

I don't use anything but Low Build. Have used both but I like Low Build best.
I now use nothing but Thread Master. J.B.Hunt Bowling Green, KY Re: High Build Vs Low Build Finish

Matthew what inlays are you referring to? I have been using High Build Flex Coat for years and have never had a problem with it . A fisherman that used one of my rods dropped it overboard on a zero degree day in December in the ocean in 200 feet of salt water and was recovered 5 months later. The guides were disolved the reel was gone but the grip and the butt wrap and guide wraps were in perfect condition and still look like new. Thats why I continue to use that finish. HIgh Build will do anything Low Build will do, but not vice versa. You can put High Build on thinly, but you cannot put Low Build on thickly without running and sagging. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
