Wanted some input on snake guide sizes
Ordering components for Lamiglas 9 weight fly rod, going with Lami ET1089, and REC RFTS15FVB reel seat a #12 and #10 TLNSG Fuji Titanium alloy frame for the stripper guides, want to use the Fuji Hopkins and Hollloway Titanium finish snake guides + matching tip top. What size of snake guides would you recommend for this rod, this rod is going to be saltwater use, bonefish, tarpon, drum, trout, etc... do you think the #12, #10 stripper, then 5,5,4,4,4,3,3,3 would be appropriate size snake guides to use, any info would be appreciated thanks-charles Re: 9 weight fly - lamiglas ET1089

Charles,
You don't need various sizes of snake guides. Pick the smallest guide that will easily pass your line with its various knots or loops. There is no advantage to having three different sizes of snake guides. Personally I would use a #16 and # 12 for the stripper guides for a 9 wt rod. Good luck with your project. I think your selection is quite good.
Assuming double foot guides for all. For a little money more you might consider a heavy wire titanium for top 3 guides to reduce inertia. Your connections should pass thru a std tip top 5.3mm unless you're already considering a large 7.8mm. Re: 9 weight fly - lamiglas ET1089

Dump the 5's and 4's and use all 3's.
