How do these two lines of blanks compare to each other? The competitor blanks seem to cost almost as much as the RX7 blanks in some cases. I would guess by the description of the graphite material that both blanks would be very similar. All input is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Patrick Rutledge Re: Lamiglas competitor vs Batson RX6

Patrick,
You're correct, both the RX7 and Lami Competitors are made of similar graphites, and both built offshore. The RX6 blanks are one step down, same graphite as the Lamiglas G1000, but the Lamis are US built. Re: Lamiglas competitor vs Batson RX6

If the g1000 are the same as the rx6, and the competitor is the same as the rx7, then why to the g1000 cost more then the competitor blanks? Just trying to figure this all out. Thanks for the help. Patrick Rutledge Re: Lamiglas competitor vs Batson RX6

All the Batson blanks that don't have a + in the catalog number are made offshore. Most Lamiglas blanks, not in the International of Competitor series, are all built in Woodland, WA at the factory. The G 1000 series is probably Lamiglas' #1 selling series by quite a margin. Re: Lamiglas competitor vs Batson RX6

Hey Spencer,
Pretty sure it's the reverse. The RX7+ and RX8+ are made in the US. Other models made offshore. Price is the telling factor. Terry Re: Lamiglas competitor vs Batson RX6

Terry, reread Spencer's first sentence. You merely restated what he said. Without a +, offshore: with a +, made here in the US. Re: Lamiglas competitor vs Batson RX6

Patrick,
Personnaly, I prefer the Batson line over the Lamiglass. Here's why: 1. I feel that Batson is POSITIVLEYmore responsive to customer input and constructive criticism in regards to their products. I have tried countless times to give CONSTRUCTIVE input on float rod blanks, only to get no returned emails and phone calls. (Very rude and un-professional.) 2. I feel that Batson products are more durable than Lamiglass. 3. I feel that Batson has better customer service than Lamiglass. And of course, the above opinions many will not concur with and that is fine. But I have based my opinions on my personal experience; which is where we get most of our experience from. Anyway, have a great day and good luck! Paul Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
