Hey fellas been wondering if anyone has built up any of the IMU-series for inshore duties?
Been thinking of building some of the 7'+ models for chunking bait and working artificials? The ratings seems pretty favorable for bottom fishing too. Are their actions pretty close to the ISWB (swimbait) or are they a bit stiffer thru-out? Thanks! Re: Batson IMU built for saltwater?

Dude they are awesome for wreck fishing sea bass and eeling for big rockfish. I'm in the Southern Chesapeake bay region and use the 7' imu for several applications. Not sure how they compare to the ISWB but I have used them for sea bass, tog, pitching to cobia on bouys, and rockfish and like them quite well. Re: Batson IMU built for saltwater?

Hey thanks Craig!
How's the action on them? Are they pretty stiff thru the entire length or do the tips have a bit of action too? I figured if the blanks have a mag-fast action it'd be perfect for moving WSB, cobia and tarpon sized species quick. Re: Batson IMU built for saltwater?

Most of the stiffness is in the butt section. The tips have a good flex, but not what I would call really fast. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
