In process of finishing a reel seat insert. I am going to have to order a bit to mortise out the reel seat insert. I have read that others use a 5/8" finger nail bit. Is this what most are using? Any suggestions or pointers? Also, if any sponsors have these or if someone can suggest where to get these. I checked with local woodworking shop and they had not heard of a fingernail bit... You can also mill a flat on the insert just by holding it against a belt sander for a few seconds. Re: Reel seat mortissing

Travis, I use a model C1215 from Grizzly. It is compatible with the U3 , and REC hardware. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
