Custom power wrap

For those familiar with the unit, do you think it is possible to install the pac bay / rodsmith style delux chuck without extensive modifications?
I know I would have to relocate the motor, but I'm wondering how similar the tracks are. I want to remove the direct drive thumb screw chuck and put the delux chuck in place so I can turn eva and foam cores. I can make a bracket for the motor so it can hang off the back in order to line up with the large drive wheel on the delux chuck. I'm guessing my only other option would be to buy the $234 chuck/gear reduction unit made for the CPW Lathe from Anglers Workshop.
Thanks
Steven

The CPW unit is from Taig, and is a very, very good headstock/spindle/chuck. Hard to go wrong there and you know it would fit.

Perhaps someone else that has access to both units can check on bed similarity for you.

The beds a the same, you'd have to redrill. The headstock/spindle/chuck setup is far superior on the CPW unit, it's night and day as far as performance and accuracy go. No reason the buy the CPW unit without to good stuff that goes with it. Just get the Pac Bay unit, it will turn EVA and foam.
