I friend of mine is looking for particular blank for me to build a squid jig rod on...now I've never jigged for squid off the pier or anything and so far he's been using an ultralight saltwater rod with decent results...what he'd like to see is an 7 1/2 to 8ft blank light enough to do the job with a very slow action and soft tip to keep the jigs from jigging to quickly and the blank needs to be strong enough to lift 6 or 7 squid at a time to the deck of the pier, which i'd say is probably a 20 foot or so dead lift..anyone know any blanks that will suit my needs???
