guys i have a question about the Reel Seat................do i install it on the Spinning Blank as a "Down Lock" or as an "Up Lock" Reel Seat??
please forgive the stupid questions but i really don't know... it looks to me that the reel seat isn't going to be actually touching the rod blank so i can assume that the extra sensitivity will be from a person's hand touching the rod blank where the reel is attached.........it that correct? Thanks Guys Richard Re: Pacfic Bay Minima Split Reel Seat

It's made to be used downlocking. The fixed (rear) hood portion of the seat is shaped to fit comfortably in your casting hand. Mark Griffin [] C&M Custom Tackle San Dimas, California Re: Pacfic Bay Minima Split Reel Seat

correct. if you hold the reel with your index finger right on the hood your middle and ring fingers rest comfortably on the side of the blank between the nut and rear portion of the seat. I cut my front sections down almost to the same length as the nut, maybe 5mm longer. Regards, -Justin Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
