Not sure what you're referring to - the Off-Angle inlays? If so, those are fully covered in the Volume 11 #6 issue of RodMaker. I couldn't possibly do any more here (nor do it as well) than I did in the magazine with a full page of text and 10 close up photos. It involves embedding some thread or threads into the wrap and drawing them across the wrap in an off-angle fashion and then tying off with a tie-off loop that was put in earlier for just that purpose. There are a ton of possibilities for those who want to experiment with this technique.
If it's something else, let me know. ............ Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 03/25/2009 08:38PM by Tom Kirkman. Re: thread angle wraps

I really like that article, especially the white trim on blue photos and went to replicate it. Turned out fine until I hit it with CP. Does white thread absorb CP differently from other threads or did it swell and expand because it isn't supported by neighboring bands of thread? It went wacky on me each time even trying to use tiny dots of the CP to 'spot weld' it down before coming back with a real dose of CP. From snug and taut to CP'd and then crazy worms every time! A real show stopper! Pesco Ergo Sum Re: thread angle wraps

The white needs to be NCP, if you want that same look. NCP can swell if you overdo the CP. The coat must be light, then on the 2nd coat you can hit it with a good wet coat.
