I was wondering which rod is more sensitive and overall which is a better rod, one with 70 million modulus or like an Im7. Thanks for help. Re: Rod advice

Hard to answer without more info on fish species, technique, fly, casting, spinning? Modulus doesn't mean much if you don't know how it is used. Re: Rod advice

What spencer said - also, doubtful any rod is made with all one modulus graphite. Generally the manufactuer states the highest # for marketing. For instance the Winston Boron has, I think, about 10-15% Boron. The rest other materials. The tip section will have a lower modulus material for durability.

I would be extremely curious as to how you would answer the question after you read this:

Another point to add is how you build it.
Using bass blanks as an example - Take the same model SCV and SCIII. Load up the SCV with DFguides, full grips, etc. Then take a minimalist approach with a SCIII and go split grip, micro guides, split seat, etc Now you tell me which rod will be more "sensitive"? I might be a little extreme here with the example, but it illustrates my point. ----------------- AD Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
