high school students rod buliding club needs upc codes, off topic

Our local high school rod building club (currently has 28 students building fishing rods on Thursday nights) is doing a community service project by building and placing fish cribs in our city's Mill Pond which has a pretty good fish population. We set the cribs on the ice, wait for the warm weather to melt the ice (which is currently 30" thick,)and then the cribs sink to the bottom and become fish condos. Students/club members are filling out the extensive DNR permit application, obtaining materials, and building and placing the cribs. We learned that Berkley fishing line is offering pre-made plastic fish cribs made from recycled fishing line and other recycled plastics. The cribs are free of charge for 75 UPC code flaps from boxes of Berkley fishing line. We would like to collect as many UPC codes as possible and get some of these cribs to supplement the wooden cribs already built as well as set some aside for next year.

Here is a link to read about this offer; [www.buckeyeflyfishers.com]

Please take the time to cut out the box UPC code from any Berkley fishing line and send it to: Ripon High School Outdoors Club- C/O SRO Butters, 850 Tiger Drive, Ripon, WI 54971.

Your support would be greatly appreciated.
Buzz

I really wish my high school or even my college had a club like your guys's. I applaud you for taking on conservation activities as well especially since such things are made so time and resource consuming by the beurocracy. Pretty awesome, keep up the good work and maybe word will spread and other high schools will start similar clubs.

I don't use Berkley but a buddy of mine has a tackle shop and I'll see if I can some from him.
