Many Thanks from FishHawk Threads

I want to offer thanks to all who stopped by the FishHawk Threads booth this past weekend and to those who supported our distributors with thread purchases. It was great to be able to associate a name with the artist`s face. We introduced three new threads this weekend...two were hits (Reflections and Silk Sparkle) and one was not (Variegated Silk).
The Expo proved to be the best venue to offer new materials and seek honest opinions. It was a fun and inexpensive way to conduct great market research and for that, we are most thankful!

Robbie

A side note for those of you who did not get a chance to attend or use the Fish Hawk thread.
I’ve like working with them, but did not realize just how much until this past week when I needed to do a rod for the expo
Using their metallic thread for one color, and another manufacturer’s rod building metallic thread for the other, was really eye opening.

Using them side by side I did not realize, actually could hardly believe Just how much better and easier the Fish Hawk metallic was to work with.
Suppler, laid down better, easier to handle, did not jump off the side of the spool every time a thread got loose.

Almost packed up what I had of the other company's to bring to the show and give away, then decided not to just incase I needed them for a repair in the future.

Robbie;
Thanks for bringing a product to market that has flat out made the job of wrapping easier.

Robbie as always it was a pleasure seeing you and selling your thread. I can't tell you how excited we were having your product in our booth. Keep up the good work, Karen and I look forward to seeing you here in Raleigh. Scott

When you say Verigated do you mean that the color changes every few inches of are you talking about a "jasper" twist. If it's a twist I would vote for that. It's great thing for us restorers.

Gary,

We offer both...variegated threads where the color changes every few inches and we also offer the "Old School" classic twists. Some examples are nylon twists, metallic twists, and our new silk/metallic twist.

Robbie - it was great to finially get to meet you. YOu are absolutely a class act, and a genuinely great guy. THere was a myriad of threads at the Fishhawk booth, as I've stated on other posts, I do like workign with the thread as it lays nice and flat and I found it easy to use. All the "oddball" threads: REflections, metallic (the Black metallic I think it what it's called = perfect match for Abalone), I think candlelight - there's something for everyone form Fishhawk.

Now that I met Robbie, I have to relax and read his posts really slow, as I can hear his voice & accent much too clear now, lol. Great to meet you Robbie, best of luch with FishHAwk in the future!!

Robbie,
Thanks for the update. I didn't see the varigated or twists on the web site. Is this something new and if so who will be carrying it.
Thanks

Gary, Fishsticks/Scott's Custom Rods is a Fishhawk Distributor. I believe that other companies are also going to be carrying it in the very near future.
