The yearly reminder

Those of you attending the Expo this coming weekend are again reminded of a few simple rules which are common to most all consumer/trade events, of which the ICRBE is no different.
Come and have a good time, but remember that any business or potential business derived from the event belongs entirely to those who purchased booth or table space. Therefore, keep any business advertising type apparel to an absolute minimum (use good sense here) and don't pass out business cards to potential customers. Do not shill your wares in the Showplace. In years past we've had a few guys carrying bags of guides and reel seats around, trying to sell them on the exhibit hall floor. We've had guys pushing other guys to come back to their hotel room where they had an assortment of components for sale. Get caught doing that, and you're gone, forever. Come and have a good time, but please respect those who purchased booth and table space. Thank you. .................. Re: The yearly reminder

I never worry about the weather here - that doesn't really matter. It's what happens elsewhere in the Country that can cause travel problems. There are winter storms now predicted for the midwest by mid-week. I keep my fingers crossed that they won't interfere with anyone's travel plans.

If I'm from the midwest, I'm hoping I can get out , but am delayed getting back. Re: The yearly reminder

Tom,
Is it ok if we have pre-arranged swapping prior to the show and make the swap there? I have a couple deals going on and the guys are all going to be at the show. I figured it would be much easier to meet and make the exchange there instead of shipping but definately not looking to get banned. Re: The yearly reminder

I'm not sure quite what you're asking. Are you talking about a couple or a few rod builders swapping some parts with each other? Or a commercial enterprise bringing items to the event to sell to customers outside the door?
The first is not a problem. The second would be. ................. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
