This is my first time using U 40

I mixed some u 40 as per directions on can, about 2 hours ago. The residual in the can is about the consistency of vaseline petroleum jelly, maybe a little thicker.

Did I mess up big time? both hardener and resin were measure carefully and room is at 69 deg F.

What product?? U-40 makes several and as far as I know, none comes in a can! If it is LS finish, that is about right as it can take 24 hours to cure

Mike (Southgate, MI)
If I don't want to, I don't have to and nobody can make me (except my wife) cuz I'm RETIRED!!

If you're talking about Ron Bond, yes, all is well. It will take an overnight period for it to fully set.

The newer Quick Bond, will set in about 15 minutes or so and can be worked in about 1 to 2 hours.

Be careful guys providing advice to people with names spelled like Roys - He a a Cajun in disguise!

We buy Rod Bond in large buckets full and if Lance was eating sardines for lunch Roy may have left the shop with a long thin can with the top peeled back crammed full of the sticky stuff for building strong rods! This is the way we choose to introduce fish odors to the anglers hands on our custom marsh rods - called laganippe - then you do not have to wast money of expexensive fish attractants! Just pick up your stinky and go fishing!

Roy it is not a cure for the psiorisis either!

I would Nuk it for 15 second, fold mix for 2 min on a flat surface. apply and foreget it over night, clean up over spill with alachol. That is if you are using Rod Bond.
