anyone use the Madeira glow nylon thread. Is it good for rod building, I think it comes 50wt. I would like to try it on a Heaver that I am going to build next but would like to know if its like the Madeira thread being use for heavy surf rods and saltwater rods. Does it really glow at night. If it does and it is a good thread I might give it a try.

Don't know about Madeira. But Fish Hawk makes a glow in the dark thread for rod biulding.

I have a rod in the picture section that I did for a 8 year old for Christmas and all the wraps and trim is out lined in glow in the dark thread. Will he ever use it at night? I don't know but it looks cool in the dark and under black light! It was the glow yellow/green color. Should have taken pictures of it in the dark but I forgot.

I also looked and could not find any. I looked at Fish Hawk link and did not list any glow thread.

I used Medeira since it seemed that no rod thread was available.
