Color Preserver / Thread Sealer HELP

I have been using a bottle of American Tackle Color Preserver / Thread Sealer for almost 1 year. I am having problems with the CP bubbling when I apply it then drying in this condition on some wraps. It doesn't do it on all threads, just some of them. It doesn't seem like it is absorbing into the thread then dries like a coating on the surface. I am thinking that maybe I should thin it out some? Most of the time I can wipe it clean with a wet towel once dried but I'm hoping to eliminate the problem. I don't know but it's pretty frustrating, any help as always is appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve

Steve, I've had that problem before, what I've done in the past is once applied and I notice the bubbles I then take a paper towel and while the rod is rotating I lightly touch the paper towel to the wraps to eliminate the bubbles, I have had no problems in doing this and I use Flexcoat.

Actually, CP doesn't get absorbed into the thread - it coats it. Sometimes, bubbles are caused by air fromthe threads working it's way up through the the CP. Another way to go after the bubbles is to "chase" them, with a small or pointed brush. An additional thing you can do is to apply a second coat of CP.

In any case, let the stuff dry for at least 4-6hrs before you put on the next coat of whatever the next coat will be.
