The Big Show

Castaway has completed their first year providing the XP3 multi modulus blanks to custom builders. They are very pleased with the acceptance of these blanks. Castaway is now prepared to offer their High End HG 40 line of high modulus blanks to custom builders as well.

Many rodbuilders do not know just how complicated the blank business is for the manufacturers. This quick story will put a smile on many faces.

Swampland completed their first year as the exclusive dealer for Castaway. The Swamp Boyz made a trip to the Castaway facility in Montgomery, Texas on the day of the first snow fall in thirty years. We were seeking new items to take to the "Big Show" in High Point. More fell on our heads that day than cold stuff!

Little did we know when we walked in the door that Castaway was sitting on a pile of HG 40 High Modulus blanks which had been designed to meet the requirements of an, at the time Castaway Elite Staff Angler, using the tag of "The Big Show".

Castaway's management decided to allow this production blank run to go to custom builders who are presently using their XP3 blanks. Swampland jumped the gun and sent a few emails to selected customers that the "Big Show" blanks along with other HG40 blanks would be unveiled at High Point.

BIG SHOW 1" 7' 6" 12 - 25 3/8 - 1 1/2 H Mod Heavy Duty
BIG SHOW 2" 7' 6" 15 - 30 1/2 - 2 1/2 XH Mod Heavy Duty

We have now discovered that the "Big Show" 1 and 2 will be sought by rodbuilders for new task specific uses which were originally designed for a bass flipping sticks and swim baits.

Oh!! One more thing - Please do not ask - The "Big Shows" are not sensitive - they will WORK OVERTIME for anyone!

Be safe during the Holiday Season - spend quality time with family! (Rug Rats Double Time)

Bill,
I've been meaning to ask, but keep forgetting. Are you guys going to stock the HM40s or are you limited to the current quantity on hand. I'm anxios to see what these are like when built out.

Merry Christmas,
Robert

Can you tell me what size tip top is needed for the "big show"? I've got one coming in the mail.
Thanks.
