Im going to be putting a Crappie "Shooting Rod" together, and was wondering, if this blank would be a good choice, or if you guys would recomend another one ..I will be using 4 lb line and shooting 1/16 oz and 1/32 oz jigs.
Rainshadow RX-7 , IS601 , 5'0" , 2-4lb. , 1/32-3/16 oz. , Moderate Action , Light Power

Thanks for the help,
John

John, i might have an Allstar in the closeout that might work. We have several UL models. And if not I have the Rainshadow you mentioned in stock. Thanks Scott Parsons

John -

I do quite a bit of crappie fishing - half trolling and half casting. When casting lures, I tend to use either a G Loomis SJ720 or a St Croix 3S60LF. My personal preference is more toward the Loomis since it is an extra-fast action with plenty of power to fight the bigger crappie AND the occasional bass or catfish that will jump a lure. However, the St Croix is a very nice rod ... don't overlook it as a possibility.

Jim -
