Those crazy RSG type guides

Does anybody have the secret to wrapping these crazy guides. Cannot seem to get the side feet to press up against the blank. Any secrets from the vets would be appreciated. Thanks Scott

I've wrapped hundreds of them. The secret is in the guide prep. Bend, shape, twist, bend, shape, etc. A pain in the neck job that can take a good hour or two on a single set. But it makes wrapping easier.

You do not want the wraps to force them into full contact with the blank - you need to bend and shape them to do that. The front foot needs to be very flat on the blank. The rear 2 should be at the proper angle to allow them to contact the blank flat, but also have just enough tension on them so that when sat on the blank they almost pin the guide in place without thread.

If you're down this way any time in the near future, I can show you how I bend and shape them. I've done enough to have gotten pretty good at them over the years.
