I have a fellow who cast off the top to his GL3 7 wt. and watched it disappear into the river. Anyone have any ideas on how to replace half of this rod (or even the blank so I can build him the upper half)? Re: rod halves

Send the butt section to G.Loomis. They will either fit a new top section or supply you with a new blank. There will be a charge, but it won't be full retail price. That's the best route you can take. ...................... Re: rod halves

Tom is correct.. You can send rods back to all major rod compies for replacement parts. of course there is a replacement cost on the lost section. When a rod breaks send all the parts, that way they can determen if it was a factory defect. Re: rod halves

How did that happen? Why didn't the line and fly stop the blank? Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
