Hi everyone, I am looking to build a 9ft stillwater rod that will be well suited to casting larger flies (streamers etc) and capable of casting in the wind. Having been really happy with Dan Craft blanks in the past I am looking at an FT or FTL in 905 configuration. Any views/opinions/suggestions. Thanks, Gavin

Gavin,
My favorite Dan Crafts FT blanks are the FT 905 and 907 - I have all of the FT's from 5-10. The FTL is a nice blank but one would not use in the same fishery.
The FT905 is best, in my opinion, with a #6 line.
Herb

The FT is it's own animal and very fast, I wouldn't use it in a small fly tippet protecting situation like cronomid fishing, the FTLs are more like his earlier Sig IV and Sig III blanks. The FTs would be really nice streamer blanks.
