I was thinking about building a musky rod with the Loomis obsidian blanks. I've never had the graphite blank with the fiberglass tip, what do you guys think of them?

A guide we used in the NW Territory had some of those rods. The wife especially liked this rod over the others in the plane as it made her fishing experience much more enjoyable. We were throwing mostly spinnerbaits and bucktails and the rods action and power really helped her in casting and when she had short line takes next to the boat.
