There is a difference between the Rod Builder Directory and Tackleworks:
The Rod Builder Directory on this page is not advertised to fishermen. It is used by other rod builders to find rod builders in their local areas for the purposes of exchanging information, obtaining parts in a pinch, etc., etc. It does not contain business listings, rod building specialties nor websites. It is a free directory but I add listings only about once per month or when time allows. There are between 600 to 700 builders listed there, but only a few are in the business of selling custom rods. The majority are hobbiest builders. Tackleworks (www.tackleworks.org) is the North American Directory of Rod and Reel Repair Persons and Custom Rod Builders - the largest such directory of its kind. It is advertised to the general fishing public. Those wishing a business listing should seek a listing here. There is a one-time fee to be listed. Rod building specialties and business websites can be listed on Tackleworks. Tackleworks listings take priority and generally go up within 24 hours of payment being received. I mention this just to clear up the continuing confusion between the 2 directories. One is for builders to contact other builders, one is for fishermen to contact builders and repair persons for rod and/or reel work or custom rods. If you're looking for a place to advertise your rod building business, you want Tackleworks, not the Rod Builder Directory. ................. Please read

The post above brought in a ton of new business listings for... the Rod Builders Directory. Exactly what it is not provided for. Please read the above post again.
