I'm using this thread for trim but my problem is that I keep getting slippage with it on the blank. I just set up my power wrapper and haven't ever used this thread so I'm not sure what the deal is. I have tried loose and tight same thing, slip! Is this a common problem with this metal thread? Would it be easier to hand wrap this thread?

Whenis it slipping, when you start your guide wrap? Make a few more turns over teh tag, and try making the first turn tighter over teh tag.

I just tried it again!! It slips when I'm getting it started all the time not just on a guide! I have tried about five turns over the tag and it stays, then as I start to continue the wrap the tag starts to slip through. I have ajusted the tension up and down. To little and it seems to unwind a bit ,to much and it pulls right out. I'm thinking of surface breaking the finish just under the wrap where it's going to lie to maybe give it some grip???. I'm just frustrated and walked away for now, I'll get it I'm sure.

Try one small spot of CP, maybe applied with your finger tip, let it get tacky(or dry).
This should help the thread "stick" to the blank.

Not a bad Idea! Thanks I'll give it a shot.
