Question about vintage Fenwick rods.

I've seen pictures online of some older Fenwick rods like a FS79C, but this rod as well as other models with the "C" after the model number are noted as casting rods. Were these older rods built without a trigger reelseat? How did they cast without a trigger? The illustrations of the rods clearly show double foot guides at a much closer traditional guide spacing than spinning rod spacings. And I assume these could be used with a spinning reel if one wanted since the reelseats look like a spinning seat to begin with. Thanks. Re: Question about vintage Fenwick rods.

No, they were casting rods and early ones did not have trigger seats. Many used aluminum seats and only later aluminum with triggers on the lighter models. Eventually they went to nylon/graphite trigger seats.
