Do I need to fill out an IRS 1040 form in addition to the schedule c? I'm positive I did it last year.
Thanks much, paul Re: 1040 FORM?

The Schedule C is just a profit and loss statement - it is not an income tax statement. The 1040 is your income tax statement. Any profit, or loss, reported via the Schedule C form is entered on the appropriate line on the 1040 form.

And yes you will need to complete a 1040 this year even if not otherwise required (If you have a schedule C you may be required anyway). This is to get the "rebate" payment. So you will have $600 or so bucks to spend on rods of course! Re: 1040 FORM?

And if your net income per your Schedule C is $ 400 or greater you'll need to file a Schedule SE to report your Self-Employment tax. Re: 1040 FORM?
