hello,
just wondering if anyone on here has used REC Components RSFX fly guides as small spining guides before? these arent the snake guides but the closed small single feet ones shaped like their tips. im building an ultra light rod and want to keep weight down but also want a guide smaller than the 6 offered in the RSPG single foot spinning guide. the RSFX fly guide is also the saltwater version. just want to hear if anyone has had experience doing this good or bad! cheers Re: REC spinning and fly guides

Ben, now reason why it wouldn't work, but the single foot wires keep the line very close to the blank, not off the blank, and that could be an issue with wrapping around, especially with light braid. Also, there's the whole possibility of grooving issue, but i won't get into that again. Would certainly be a cleaner look that the butt ugly coiled wire spin guides.
