That rod is for himself, I've seen it and held it and with that reel with custom sideplate the entire set up (finished rod & reel) is in the 7-8oz range. Re: Atention Stan Mclean split real seats

Uruel the texilium I used looks cool but doesn't help any with the sensitivity, it may even hurt as little as it is somewhat heavier than cork. This rod has a small reel on it which is very easy to palm, my hand never touches the tubing directly behind the reel seat. The St. Croix Legend Elites are super blanks, light sensistive and make great rods.
