Guide wrap suggestion

I am doing an all black/gold rod to match my Daiwa BG20. My problem is every guide wrap I come up with looks to plain and simple for me. Looking for an idea with some character but not overly flashy. Going for the elegant look. Thanks guys.

This was the "elegant" solution I came up with for a customer that only wanted black and gold. Yes, it is plain and simple but sure turned out nice and the customer loved it.

Jeff: That specific one caught my eye last night as a matter of fact. It is a beautiful wrap and even better photography. :)

I tried single gold band for outside trim to mark the end and one to mark the end of the wrap up the guide foot. It looks nice but it seems as though one or two more bands are missing. Possibly under the guide. I have nothing there currently and these guides are all black.

Are you doing an underwrap at all ? If so, what color is that ?

Jeff; I think "elegant" is the perfect discription for that warp
Pretty sharp work!

The underwrap is currently all black, but that may change. Almost all of my rods are underwrapped as they are get extremely heavy use in saltwater and offshore conditions.

It's amazing what a couple of inlays in a black underwrap can do for the overall look.

Thats exactly where I was thinking I was going to head. I like my idea of single band trim on both end of the overwrap, but it just seemed like something was missing.

I will post up a picture when I finally come up with one I like.
