Threadless guides

Hi
I was trying to build a rod with threadless guides but had a little problem. How to align the guides on the blank without thread before putting epoxy? I tried Flex Coat thermo glue, it works with double footed guides but didn`t work with one footed small guids. Just couldn`t put them straight at one move. Do you have any tip for me?
Regards,
BB

Did you read the article in RodMaker? It's all in there, best to get the article for best results, you don't use Flex Coat.

Volume 9 #6. The author suggests using small rubber bands cut from surgical tubing and wedging a sliver of toothpick under them to apply pressure on the guide while the epoxy is drying between the foot and the blank. You will have several minutes to set them in perfect alignment.
