Tax Reminder - US

Happy New Year!

Now that we have that over ... the US government would like you to fill out and submit (with funds) your Form 720 Excise Taxes.

Most likely your state of choice would also like a little LOVE (a.k.a. cash money), so don't forget to include them in your tribulations.

Just a reminder to the US builders.

Maryland will be providing us with an additional "gift" this year by adding another 1% on top of the existing tax base... However this isn't as bad as they've done to car taxes which, from today on, will be at 20% of the blue book value (new / used).

Whic is why NC is a beautiful place to live. They haven't figured out anything about any excise taxes - yet.

If you someone tells them, though, I will find whoever it is. The rest is up to your imagination.

The Excise Taxes are FEDERAL ... not state. Better to pay than go to Guantanamo.

20%??? wow I thought it only went from 5% to 6%

20% of the book value when I buy a car is a deal breaker! a 30,000 dollar car is going to cost an extra $6,000..... I am glad I passed on that house I was going to buy, DE is looking pretty good right now.
