St Croix has what you are looking for and much more. You should find much happiness in the SCII Spin/Cast series and the SCII Salmon/Steelhead/Musky series. Re: Blanksearch - 7' & 9' - 2piece - fast action

The Forecast SH1084 is 9', pretty fast action, reasonably priced and will handle 1oz fine; but it comes in dark blue. Rainshadow/Forecast makes some that higher modulus and more expensive blanks in a matte grey, and I assume these are lighter and faster as well. Re: Blanksearch - 7' & 9' - 2piece - fast action

The only blue Forecast blank is in Fly blanks. All others except the Forecast Salwater is in Clear Gloss Grey finish.
What hard Bait are you twitching and for what fish? Re: Blanksearch - 7' & 9' - 2piece - fast action

Jan; The Seeker blanks have what I would call a medium action. Re: Blanksearch - 7' & 9' - 2piece - fast action

Oh,
I think I have forgotten to tell, that the 7' blank should become a casting-rod and the 9' blank a spinning-rod. The baits I want to fish with the 7' castingrod are about 13gr. an a length of 3,5 inch. The baits I want to fish with the 9' spinningrod are about 35gr. an a length of 5,1 inch. Both bait-types have short lips, floating and a diving-deep from 2-3 ft. ... Many thanks to all, Jan Re: Blanksearch - 7' & 9' - 2piece - fast action

I don't think you'll beat the value of the Forecast blanks. You can even find the 7' blank you are looking for in 3pc versions, in both standard and intermediate modulus I believe. Re: Blanksearch - 7' & 9' - 2piece - fast action

Sounds good!
But I can't find a list with the forecast-blanks on the batson-homepage? Regards, Jan Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
