Hey Guys,
Im half way threw the 4oz bottles, while mix a batch last night as i injected the hardner (B) from the syringe to a mixing container I noticed a black cloud. I threw that batch out, took the seyringe apart wiped off the black rubber on the the plunger. I started again and noticed some in the bottom of the comtainer again, but much less than the first time. I went ahead and added the secound part (A) mixed then applied. Has any one had the same experiance?, whats causing it. and if so how did you correct it? Thanks for your help. Greg Re: Tread Master

Greg,
Get the syringes with NO rubber plungers-problem solved. I think? mine are Flex coat? Had them so long I can't remember! I've almost worn off the measurements on them. DR Re: Tread Master

Dr might be right it could be that the rubber in your syringers is breaking down and contaminating your epoxy. In fact if you are not noticing the cloud in the bottles it has be be coming from the syringes or something that has gotten into your mixing cup Re: Tread Master

They're right, dump the syringes with the rubber on the plungers. They tend to dry up, break down, get stuck, etc. I keep my syringes in the caps and never clean or replace them so I use the syringes that don't have them. The only ones that I'm aware of are the U-40 syringes. Anyone that carries U-40 (LS) should have them. Another reason to use the same syringes forever LOL Mike (Southgate, MI) If I don't want to, I don't have to and nobody can make me (except my wife) cuz I'm RETIRED!! Re: Tread Master

I have been using the same 2 Flexcoat syringes for a long time now.
I agree with everyone else. Cant use the ones with rubber or silicone seals on the end of the plunger. J.B.Hunt Bowling Green, KY Re: Tread Master
