Is there a chemical that will dissolve EVA foam? Say like gas dissolves Styrofoam?

There are two that come to mind...neither of which I would want to use for that purpose. I'm guessing here...I have not tried either. I doubt either will eat the EVA as fast as gas mows through styrofoam.

Muriatic acid
MEK

You can get both at Big name hardware stores. I would try the MEK first if you are trying to save a rod or something else attached to the EVA.

Just curious - what are you wanting to do? Remove some EVA or tell a customer about certain solvents/chemicals that might harm the EVA on his rod?
