Feather inlays

Does anybody know where I can get info on how to inlay feathers? I couldn't find anything about that in the magazine copys that I have, and I did a search on google but didn't come up with too much. Basically, just lay one feather at a time and use cp to temporarily hold them on the rod untill I have all the feathers on the blank. Then epoxy them. Any advice is appreciated..............Kyle

RodMaker Volume 2 #1 has what is easily the most complete information ever done on the subject. That issue is available by mail order only for $6.95. I have about 30 copies left.

There is also a ton of information on inlaying feathers here on this site if you have time to use the search function and read all the various information there. A few have also done inlay tutorials that they'd probably be happy to send you.

Thanks Tom, I allready did the search and looked for that back issue and it isn't listed in the back issue list. How do I order that issue? Thanks again, Kyle

Ps, I was just placing an order and was wondering if you could tell me which cp to go ahead and get while I am placing this order for some other things too? Diamondite? Thanks

RodMaker, PO Box 1322, High Point, NC 27261. It's also listed on the magazine website.

I can't really advise you on color presever - everybody likes something different. I have had good results with the Diamondite stuff, however.

Kyle,
Email me and I'll send you a couple of nice tutorials. Along with the RodMaker back issue
this should give you a good understanding about feather inlays.
