I'm looking for a good butt wrap alignment tool. I've seen a couple different ones online, maybe someone out there can tell me a good one to get. Thanks, Mike. Re: Butt Wrap Alignment Tool

I just made one out of 2 pcs of MDF glued and screwed together in an "L" shape. I used a table saw to cut a "V" notch in the longer section, parallel to the upright section(about 2" high), and the center of the groove is the same distance from the upright as a drafting template. Just lay the rod in the groove and lay the template on top and that aligns the buttwrap. I believe I read an article here or in the magazine on how to make this tool. I actually got the directions from Dale Clemens Custom Rod Thread Art book (I think)...............Kyle Re: Butt Wrap Alignment Tool

Flex-Coat makes a nice one. Get it here.

Mark Crouse has them in different lengths. His are on the same order as the flex cote ones with this difference, they have a clear ruler attached and have rubber feet on them to lift them up so casting seats with triggers will have no problems turning. They are very well priced also. Check them out on his web site to the left. Bill in WV Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
