The Emperor's Choice line of reelseats are similar. Schneider's, Amity Harbor, @#$%&, FishStick4U can help you. They sure are fond of that stuff, they don't give it away.

He's talking about the ACS and IPS painted seats used by Genivaldo Alves. Both available from Matagi and their distributors, plain, painted, and with different locking nut finish options.

I saw it at the show last year and grabbed a brochure and couldnt wait to get home and order up some. Then I saw the price of the matagi stuff and changed my mind fast. Great looking stuff but the price is ourragious and it would not stand up to our salt air here in the everglades. billy

All the metal is anodized, and the seat paints are automotive paints and clear coat, so why wouldn't they stand up to the salt air? I've seen some of the painted seats and metal hardware here in Australia, and they seem to be just fine. However, the price is very hard to choke down.

Billy, I use Matagi components for the past 5 years and have very little complains. Most of my rods are for salt water application and I always advise my customers to take extra care if they want those good looking components to stay good. Infact, salt water can damage almost everything if one does not take care. I use my perswonalised brochure on rod care and handling for all my customers and these are actually provided by rodbuilders international if you are a member. Secondly, if you buy the loose components and shape your own Eva and corks, then the prices are very competitive.
