Good afternoon All,
Have any of you used the polyester thread from Thread Art. I recently received their catalog and they have a variety of high sheen # 40 polyester thread including some classic two-color twist thread. However, their prices seem very low to me and I am rather skeptical about products that are too cheap. Thanks for any help any of you can give me. Mike Blomme Re: Thread Art Threads

While I haven't used their services myself, I know a couple other people who have and are quite satisfied. Not to worry about the low prices. However, be aware that these are poly threads, not nylon. Different stretch characteristics, different color fastness under CP and epoxy. Not to worry, just a learning curve.

I have been using them for a few months and have had no problems, other than trying to get them to stick to my tape while doing butt wraps.
Duck brand double sided tape fixed that problem. I have not tried them without CP however, they have a noticable sliperyness from the lubricating coating that is applied to the thread. my .02 Regards Dave Fishing is Life the rest is just Details Re: Thread Art Threads

Hi Dave,
I thought I would have to use CP since folks who use polyneon Madiera threads have to use CP. Thanks. Re: Thread Art Threads

Hi Jim and Russ,
I am just such a cheapskate (my wife's words--I prefer the term frugal) that I hate to buy anything that I don't know about. All in all, you are probably right. Buying a couple of spools and trying them is the best way to find out about them. I will certainly post my conclusions about them. Thanks for your comments. Mike Blomme Re: Thread Art Threads

How much are they?
Al Ciner has used them on wuite a few rods. Only problem is the color selection isn't as vast as AMdiera. Other than that, tehy are basically teh same. I'm oing ot guess that they are not treated with lubricant, but don't quote me on that. Re: Thread Art Threads

Hi Billy,
The solid colors are $1.65/1100 yards (160 colors). The two-color twist thread is $2.50/1100 yards (12 colors). The metallic colors are $0.99/$220 yards (9 colors). This is according to their catalog. Mike Blomme Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
