Working foam grips

What is the best way to bore the inside and work the outsde of EVA or foam grips? I have no lathe that I can spin it in.............Thanks Re: Working foam grips

To bore the ID, order teh right size to begin with. Seriously, you really don't want to get into reaming EVA. Re: Working foam grips

I buy 3/8" ID and slide it on an aluminum rod and chuck it in the drill press. Then I sand to suit. I've only done short pieces for split grips. Re: Working foam grips

EVA is going to be difficult (not impossible) to work without a lathe or some means of spinning it. Fortunately, there are myriad sizes and shapes available so most of the time you can just order what you're going to need.

I'm with Chuck, I have 3/8 and 1/2" Alum Shafts that I chuck in a DrillI have a Block of Oak that I epoxied a 1/2 ID Bearing into. I clamp it to the Tailgate of my truck and sand away. I have to get a #/8 bearing for the other side Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
