Throwing around the idea of a spinner for tuna. Probably going to use a super seeker if I do. What guides do you guys suggest? Most likely be fishing 50-65# braid

I saw a stand-up spinner rod built by Scott Throop at the Lamiglas
open house last April. An awesome rod. I think he has pix in his
photo gallery here.

Found his photo post...

The guides on the rod that Scoot Throop made are the Batson /Forecast (VD) Series guides matched up with the ALL AMERICAN ROLLER GUIDES - acid wrap design.
I would recommend this particular series (VD) for heavier spinning rods. I personally have these guides on a few of my heavy spinning rods and they perform flawlessly. We currently carry them in our DBC ( Double Black Chrome) with the Blue Zirconium and the "H" ard ring in polished grey. and also our TC ( Titanium Carbide w/o chrome) In all the colored Zirconium Rings ( Blue, Gold, Silver.. these plateings are the best for any Saltwater applications, tested the best in the industry. Matching tip top I would use is our "Flanged" ring tops (P or SU) style to match your selection of guides.
I have also seen and made rods for this application with either the ALPS XN series or the Forecast UD series. That's custom rod building.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions. We are all rodbuilders and passionate fisherman. A USA family owned and operated comapny here to service the Industry.ART of rod building.
Thank you for your support.
