Hi All...
Haven't been here in quite a while. I have an opportunity and am looking for some help. A fellow at work bought a cottage and found a Sage rod inside. The rod is 9ft 6 or 7 weight graphite. It is gray blank with black thread. It has a black alum reel seat. No other markings. Can anyone tell me what this is? And give me an idea of what it may be worth? Thanks in advance for any help/advice provided. Re: Rod Opportunity

Denny,
Is this a 2 piece or 4 piece Sage. I had one come into the shop about 8 weeks ago, and it was a 2 piece, grey blank with black aluminum reel seat. The memory is going, but I thought it was either a GL or GF series. The guy wanted to know how much it might be worth and I said it might be worth $150.00 Dave Great Bay Rod Co. Re: Rod Opportunity

It is a 9ft 2 piece. It is a very plain looking rod. Like a low end rod. No markings other than what I mentioned. It has snake guides with one double foot guide. And this appears to be "broken" loose from the frame...in other words the round part with the insert is loose from the double foot frame.
I thought about offering $100 and see what he says. I just thought I would get some opinions from someone who knows more about rods than I do. I do want a 6 or 7 weight, and thought about building one this winter, but this may not be a bad deal. If he wants more, then I would pass. Thanks for your thoughts!! Re: Rod Opportunity

I agree with Jesse !!!!!!!!!!!! You can always come up ,,, but tough to go down. Assuming it has the Sage Decal on the rod near the grip! Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
