CTS Blanks @ Merrick Tackle

"It is part of Merrick Tackle's Super Raffle
that will be given away to one of the lucky guys (or gals)
at the Dealer Show on Oct. 17th, 2007. "

It is my understanding that Merrick Tackle will let the winner choose from one of the following blanks: CTS Makoi 305, 307 or 405. (Scott, please correct me if I am wrong.)

Just for info., all three blanks are 13' 6" long. The 305 and 307 are rated for 4 to 6 ounces and the 405 is rated for 6 to 8 ounces. These are optimum casting and maximum total casting weights. I prefer to use 20 to 30# mono on the the 305 and 307 rods and 40 to 50# mono on the 405.

The 307 has landed Ulua up to 40# and I did win a casting event in Texas last year using a 405, 40# mono on a Newell 338, and a 7 ounce sinker.

The 307 has a faster action than the 305.
