We went fishing last weekend and I left several rods in the truck and it was very hot outside. I read 90 some degrees in the truck. I noticed that the flexcoat on the guides got soft. I could use my finger nail and put a dent in it. I took them out and the next day they seemed okay. Is this normal?? Re: flexcoat getting soft.

Yep;
Will do the same thing if you take a hair dryer to them. You truck can get hotter then 120 when its hot out side. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
